What should I expect during my Invisalign treatment?
You will wear your aligners nearly all of the time, with the exception of about two hours per day. Invisalign treatments at Dr. Milan’s office are different for everyone, but most patients can achieve their ideal smiles anywhere from just two months to two years. During that time, you can expect to make occasional dental visits to monitor your progress.
Will I need any post-treatment care?
Following your treatment, you will no longer need to wear Invisalign trays. However, you will need to wear a retainer each day to help protect your new smile. It is also important to continue visiting your dentist for routine check-ups and twice-yearly cleaning.

How The Process Starts And Results

Step One
During this appointment D. Milan will evaluate your teeth and goals. If you are a good candidate we can start the process by taking photos, measurements and models of your teeth.
Step Two
Using the models or computer scans of your teeth we use computer design software that simulates the specific desired movements of each tooth at each stage of aligners. The resulting process set the stage to fabricate each aligner in advance of treatment. The aligners are made using computerized manufacturing a 3D pHnting.
Step Three
You return to the office to officially start you treatment. We confirm the fit of the aligners and may add small, clear “bump”” on certain teeth. This helps move the teeth more efficiently. We may also lightly sand a very small amount between certain teeth if we need extra space for desired movements. We then see you every couple of months to monitor or modify treatment if necessary.
Invisalign® treatment uses a series of custom-shaped, clear plastic aligners to correct the position of teeth. The Invisalign® aligners are so discreet that most people will not even know that you are undergoing orthodontic treatment, unless you decide to tell them. Dr. Milan will use precision computer imaging techniques to ensure the success of your treatment. While the number of Invisalign® aligners needed to complete treatment will depend on your unique orthodontic needs, each successive aligner will be designed to apply the necessary pressure to guide your teeth toward their ideal position. You will wear each retainer for about two weeks before it needs to be replaced. Overall, the course of treatment should require about the same amount of time as treatment with traditional braces. Aligners should be worn 24 hours a day, except during meals and while brushing and flossing.
